when the old escambia couty jail
was closing and the new jail was
opening under Tim Hawsey . a boy suppolely broke into the old jail and found a shot gun and used his
own shotgun shells, and killed hiself. I COULD SEE THE FRONT DOOR
OF THE OLD JAIL FROM MY HOUSE. THAT
MORNING SOME INMATES WERE CARRYING
SOME BIG CANS OF FOOD FROM THE OLD JAIL TO THE NEW JAIL.THE FRONT DOOR
WAS OPEN, THE BOY WALKED IN THE FRONT DOOR THAT MORNING JUST LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE WAS DOING.I GOT IN MY CAR AND WAS TURNING RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE FIRESTATION WHEN I HEARD ON MY CAR SCANNER THAT SOMEBODY HAD SHOT THEMSELF IN THE OLD JAILHOUSE . what was in the Brewton Standard was a dam lie . the Brewton standard is known by many as the Brewton Excuse
